When the system makes it prohibitive to potato and 5-forma the weapons you want to learn and play with, we end up with situations like Draco, where players find their own way to work around DE's artificial barriers. Players have a wall to climb if they really want to experiment and learn about the huge variety of weapons and frames. The fact that players are expected to either spend platinum to have access to orokin reactors and catalysts or watch like a hawk for alerts and occassional invasions is another issue. The fact that mastery is not tied to any real or meaningful metric that reflects skill or progression is one large problem. If not, then consider that there are other reasons as to why players may be lacking in skills and I think you'll see that Draco is only one small (very small) symptom of a much bigger problem. That should solve your problem right there. Repeat that over and over until it sinks in. Come on, haven't we been through this topic enough in this subreddit? Mastery level is not an indication of skill. The first mistake is simply equating skill with mastery level.
